How Has TKE Influenced You?Thank you to our alumni members who recently responded to let us know how Tau Kappa Epsilon has influenced their lives. Here’s what a few brothers had to say about their time in the fraternity:
Earl Seely ’56: “I pledged TKE with two others whom I had served with in the USN. TKE was instrumental in turning me into a gentlemen and feeling part of a fine group of brothers. I was fortunate to be the elected All-University President in 1955-56 and earning a degree in electrical engineering.”
Bryon G. Deysher ’77: “Coming from a very small town in rural Pennsylvania, the opportunity to meet young men from all across the commonwealth helped to shape my social skills, learn to tolerance and results in the best friends I have had my entire post-Penn State days.”
James MacKay ’60: “It cultivated the values instilled in me earlier in my life: respect for others, teamwork, integrity and working for the good of something bigger than just yourself.”

Tau Kappa Epsilon celebrated their seventieth year of living in their fraternity house by hosting a dinner for the brothers and alumni during the weekend of the Blue-White game.
President John Cavicchio commented that their "motivation for the commemorative dinner is to gain more alumni participation."
In the fall, the brotherhood, which consisted of fifty-one members, sponsored a sexual awareness program for anyone who wished to attend. Men and women were scattered into groups for discussion. The program was informative, turning out to be a success.
TKE also sold raffle tickets benefiting Habitat for Humanity, and organization whose goal was to raise fifty-thousand dollars to renovate a house in State College and convert it into a homeless shelter.
TKE brothers were active in their fraternity, the community and academic organizations.

Continued... Interact with Tau Kappa Epsilon BrothersWe’re excited to introduce a
new place in our new alumni community, where you can interact directly with groups of Tau Kappa Epsilon brothers. You can participate in the brotherhood community, create a new group for you and your friends, or join an existing one! Within each group’s page, the members have control over the content. You can upload and share links, videos, photos, events and comments with other members. Create and/or join as many groups as you’d like...such as a group for your pledge class, another for alumni in your major/career field, and maybe another for brothers in your state/region.
